I've seen it a billion times over and over again but I had never really considered actually going in. Rich and I went in and it was simply amazing. There were old grave stones dating back as early as the 1700's Most of them were extremely aged, and I had to constantly watch my step as I moved backwards in fear that I might not see a grave and knock it over. Luckily, I was very cautious.

As I stood there, all I could think about was how weird the situation is with a cemetery. A cemetery is where you get rid of your dead bodies. It's an area where they bury dead people. As I was standing there, I realized that six feet below me, there is a corpse, or in this case since the cemetery was so old, I don't really know how much of the corpse remained. Probably just the skeletal remains... perhaps not even that. I'm not an expert on how a body rots/decays and I don't think I ever want to be, but it was just WEIRD!

To get certain angles that I wanted, I had to lay down in different positions to snap the shot. I got some eerie feelings doing that, knowing that a body has been disposed of right below me. But then I realized... everyone is dead!! I'm in the safest place in the world!

Hope you enjoy these. CLICK FOR THE FULL-SIZED IMAGE! If it appears too big, right click the photo and select "VIEW IMAGE".

Check out the old writing on that grave. That's how they used to write/spell/talk. Weeeeiiiiird!
<img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; Spring is right around the corner, and I happened to see some green grass rise above the hay-like dead grass. Couldn't resist the photo.

BONUS PHOTO'S

These two photo's have no artistic value whatsoever. If you've been hanging around me long enough you know that I've been obsessed with the Moulton Residence haunting as of late. It's one of the three big three ghost legends in the Hampton area. I practically came in my pants when I saw that General Jonathan Moulton's grave stone was there. Sure there was no body AND it obviously hasn't been there for hundreds of years because of it's superb condition... but STILL... FUCKING COOL!!

These weren't even taken IN the cemetery... but VERY CLOSE to it! In these photo's is the monument of Goody Cole, a woman who was in-and-out of prison in the early days of Hampton NH in the 1600's. She had to go back-and-forth to Boston to stand trial for various things, like being accused of being a witch, and calling a woman a whore (both things were a big deal in those times). There are many stories as to how she died, but most believe that since no one could actually PROVE that she was a witch, the townspeople did not like her so they took justice into their own hands and murdered her. No one found her body. She's been haunting the area in Hampton where she used to live/probably died in ever since. In the 1930's they had a ceremony clearing her of her crimes and her status of being a witch and they were going to have a big ceremony of putting soil where they thought she died in an urn and burying it. Shortly after, Hampton received one of the biggest hurricanes they had ever had. People spot her on the road now and then wearing old clothing. I have yet to see her but one day I'll find her and we'll both do a photo-shoot together!

These ones did not come out as well as I wanted...

This one seemed good on the preview, but now that I look at it full-size on my PC... no. January 26th! A Saturday! I'm pretty excited, and thankful that I'm still alive, healthy, and ambitious to do many big things in my life. I have a feeling that 2008 will be THE YEAR of Scott Lawn, as well as the rest of the years after that. Seriously, it's a great year to be a Scott Lawn supporter! I'll be celebrating my Birthday on three days:

This Friday night will be a family thing, I'll be hitting up the Kowloon with them to dine with my parents, brother, sister, brother-in-law, and my two nephews. All while being in a restaurant filled with Chinese food, dim lights, and possibly some type of band playing music.

This Saturday night I'm getting trashed. Plain and simple.

On Sunday, I'm hoping to see the new Rambo film in theaters, and I also have to celebrate my nephews birthday since his is near mine. He's having a Pirate themed party for his 5th birthday, so I'm gonna give him his cake while dressed up as a Pirate, haha! I'll have pictures of that up at some point down the stretch.

While trying to figure out what to do with my life now that the Super Bowl is not for another two weeks, I found this video on youtube. A scene from one of the best war films ever made, Apocalypse Now. It's the scene where they fly in on Helicopters to attack a Vietnamese village while playing The Ride of the Valkyries through the speakers as they get there. After that, even when the area is still very hostile, the colonel just wants everyone to start surfing the waves in the ocean nearby. It's very bizarre. It also has one of the most famous quotes in all war movies, I love the smell of napalm in the morning! Watch the video, you might want to just skip to the 2:34 marker, as that is when it starts to get good. Be patient and watch!

I have to send the link directly rather than embed it on this blog... the asshole who posted the video disabled that feature!
http://youtube.com/watch?v=vHjWDCX1Bdw

And to end this blog entry, I have here a website that someone made: The Things I Learned From Watching Hard Boiled. It's pretty funny, seeing as though it's probably one of my favorite movies of all time.

Thanks for reading,
-Scott M.F. A WALKING CAST... and people are already saying "ZOMFG HE'S INJURED!!!!!!!!!!!!!" If you go to the TMZ website you'll run into a bunch of idiots making a bunch of idiotic comments. So, here's a source from bostonherald.com

http://bostonherald.com/news/regional/general/view.bg?articleid=1068152&srvc=home&position=0

Are you kidding me? Does everyone all of a sudden forget who's name always ends up as "PROBABLE" on the injury report even when he's healthy!!?
Tell me, are you idiots REALLY THAT GULLIBLE to fall for this? Do you really think that Bill Bellichik would let him go out if he was really badly injured? He'd have him under lock and key. Tom Brady even said himself...

“Ah, you know, there’s always bumps and bruises. I’ll be ready for the Super Bowl,” Brady said, when asked point-blank if he had a leg injury. “I’m not worried about that. I’m not missing this one. I’d have to be on a stretcher to miss this one. There will be treatment this week. In games like this, you get a little nicked up. It’s nothing serious.”

But never mind that, you'll fall for it hook, line and sinker. I'm afraid that none of you realize the type of coach Bellichik is. He WANTS everyone to see him like this, don't you get it?
And even so... it's a WALKING CAST! Which means HE'S ABLE TO WALK AROUND!!? Have you taken into consideration that the Super Bowl is TWO WEEKS AWAY!!? TWO!! A.K.A. way more than enough time to heal whatever a walking cast is needed for!
Don't get me wrong, I'm glad that all of the Anti-Patriots are getting their hopes up for this because it will only hurt more when Eli loses the game viciously, but I'm just pointing out the fact that some of you are SO STUPID that I can come over to you, say it, and then laugh about it after my point is proven.

Heh!

The next thing I wanted to speak about, was Diary of the Dead. Diary of the Dead is George Romero's newest zombie film. He was responsible for making three of the best horror films ever made... and then he directed Land of the Dead. There are a few things that are especially unique about this film...

This is his first film since Night of the Living Dead that is 100% independent. No BIG MULTI-MILLION DOLLAR COMPANY backing this one, he just has the help of his partner Peter Grunwald, and a group called Artfire.

This film is truly his own. He describes not having this much freedom since he made Night of the Living Dead (and we all know how mind-blowing that was)!

The cast is filled with "Unknowns", in other words, no one famous. A lot of times everyone see's this as a bad thing, but with a director like Romero it's a damn good thing.

From what I saw in the preview, it seems to be all/mainly Blair Witch style, kind of like Cloverfield was, as both cast from each movie seem to be "Documenting" the events that are unfolding in the film. I don't believe that Romero is ripping off J.J. Abrams monster movie because both directors were working under the radar... and Romero screened his film way before Cloverfield got released into theaters. If anything, he copied Blair Witch, haha!

I believe this movie is going straight to DVD or just in select theaters, as the release date for this film is set in February. I think that if this was hitting the major theaters we would have seen tons of hype for this film months ago. This film has already been screened in a few festivals... so yeah. If you want more information about this film, I suggest hitting up the official myspace page: http://www.myspace.com/diaryofthedead/

Here's the preview...

Hope you all enjoy it!

Scott M.F. It has the Blair Witch style where the movie is shot from the point of view of someone holding a camera for the whole thing (a fucking good quality camera that is VERY durable... I might add).

J.J. Abrams follows his own style when he made the show Lost, which means... WTF!!? Confusing as hell. I didn't really know what the fuck it was until I saw the movie. I was assuming it was an alien movie when I first saw the preview right before Transformers, but nope! I guess it came from the sea. The websites that served as an online scavenger hunt pointed to that possibility (http://www.1-18-08.com/ - http://slusho.jp/ - http://tidowave.com/ - http://tagruato.jp/ - http://jamieandteddy.com/). If you're like me, these websites only confused you even more. I get that it was a monster movie, but did it really come from the ocean or something? That... and was it maybe Japan's fault?

I won't go into detail of anything else that happens in the movie because I feel that it would spoil some very cool/intense parts for you. I will, however, link a website that shows what fans think the monster looks like through drawings. Look at it if you've already seen the film... or if you're just dying to see it. Some drawings are almost spot-on... others make you wonder how someone would think it looked anything like that. - http://www.filmschoolrejects.com/news/cloverfield-update-fans-draw-the-cloverfield-monster.php

I don't know what the monster is/where exactly it came from, but that's the cool part about the movie. You've seen the monster, but not as clearly as you might want to. There are many things to think about/maybe hear about later on. Maybe we'll learn more about it in time through sequels or just Abrams spilling his guts... maybe never at all. One thing is for sure, we're going to hear a bunch of know-it-alls discussing it in various forums on that thing we all know and love... The Interwebnet-like-thing!

Good movie, I recommend you all see it. I love apocalyptic-ish movies like this (even though it's only Manhattan... and we're all probably better off if that place disappears), so it was cool for me. If you're into that kind of shit, go and check it out!
Rating: ****1/2 stars of WIN!

-Scott M.F. While I do use a lot of vulgar words... I can usually analyze a film way better than how I did below. This was just meant to remove some boredom from my life. People read it and thought it was funny/a good way to figure out what movie they should check out, so I thought I'd share it with the blogger.com scene (UNFORTUNATELY NONE OF MY LJ FRIENDS WHO READ THIS COMMENTED, so you might not believe a word of what I said in that last sentence). Enjoy!

I just saw three movies.

Death Sentence - Kevin Bacon is awesome. I liked this movie a lot except the music kinda blew, it was very corny when that ONE song would come up during an emotional part. Very violent, and teaches the moral story that vengeance might just come back and bite you in the dick.
Rating: ***1/2 stars of WIN!

Casshern - Japanese movie based off of a 70's anime series/80's anime movie. It was barely anything like either. They were trying to be WAY TOO DEEP with the story, when all it needed to be about is a dude dressed up in white with a white ninja mask beating the shit out of robots. The action sequences were cool... BUT THERE WERE BARELY ANY! It was all like "DUHHHH LIFE IS LIKE A FLOWER, IT BLOOMS BUT HUMANS ARE BAD BECAUSE THEY KILL OTHER PEOPLE BLAH BLAH BLAH" stupid!! Not to mention that it also took what Sin City tried to do with recording actors in front of a green screen with little-to-no props and surround them with CGI... but there was one small problem... THE CGI SUCKED ASS!!!! Way to set computer graphics back 10 years, assholes! It looked like the graphics of when PC games introducked CGI cinematic scenes with real people in front of a blue screen in 1996.
This movie had the potential to grab you by the face, kick you in the nuts/pussy/both (if you were born like that), and then ravage you in the ass with your own arm... but it was trying to appeal to all the new-age film faggots out there. SO, fuck this movie in the ass. The music was pretty cool, though. That's the ONLY reason why it even gets a single star.
Rating: * star of EPIC FAIL!!
Side Note: I was especially disappointed because I love Japanese movies/anime, and I was excited that this movie might be able to combine the two... ugh, fuck this movie hard!

Meat Weed Madness - Think I would like this movie because Troma published it? NOPE! I do not like something JUST because of Troma. This movie sucked big-time. The acting, plot, story, effects, etc. All of it was HORRIBLE! I watched this movie in total WTFocity. It was shitty. BUT... there WAS that scene with a guy fucking a girl in the ass... both of them dressed up in knife costumes. AND there were really hot chicks in it that were naked for practically the whole fucking movie!! THAT makes this movie way better than Casshern.
Rating: **** stars of WIN!

Scott M.F. I sent a post to three journals within Livejournal; my personal journal, a New England Patriots community, and an NFL Fans community. The link here is the version I posted in the NFL Fans one pretty much because that is the one that got the most response. The reason I am linking to that rather than posting it here alone is because there are MANY pictures, and the post is not friendly for people with dial-up/slow computers. On Livejournal there is an option to put some of your post behind an "LJ Cut", which hides whatever part of your entry you want from being seen unless you click a link, but I can't find anything like that on this journal. In time, I hope that everyone will come to know this blog as THE OFFICIAL blog for Scott Lawn. I'll be making identical posts from here onto my Livejournal and Myspace blogs after this one gets the update (the links to those are on the right sidebar). There is a short-but-sweet description of what this blog will be about on the right sidebar, and I'll start this blog out by talking about myself a little bit.

About Me -
People would describe me as "a typical guy", but I think I go beyond that. I believe myself to be the manliest of all men. This is due to my interests. Yes, I have friends who may be into a few things that I am into, but could TOTALLY care less about anything else that I'm into. For example, a friend of mine that shares my interest of film making couldn't care less about football (which I love). I have all sorts of interests, and the people that surround me share only a few. What are these interests? Here, I'll tell ya...

Film Making

Movies (Watching them)

Video Games (Especially online)

Football (New England Patriots)

Baseball (Boston Red Sox)

Mixed Martial Arts

Cooking (Yes, the way I do it is very manly)

Music (Hardcore, Metal, some Rap, and some weird shit)

Blogging (Hey now!)

Partying

Surfing (Just started, still learning)

Anything to do with the beach

Anything to do with hot chicks (That doesn't involve in me getting walked on because Scott Lawn don't love them hos)

Just the stuff that I can think of at the moment. You get the idea.

More about me; my dream is to be a film maker. Not really the rich & famous Hollywood type (even though I wouldn't mind that), but I'd be content having my films shown around the country, and hopefully one day the world. I'd be content with a cult-following, and would find myself extremely lucky if I can make-ends by using film making as a way to make a living. I want to write, produce, direct, edit, and act in all of my movies. The more control I can have over my own film, the better. I don't mind that it will take a lot more work, as long as it's my own, then I'm willing to put forward whatever is needed. Don't mistake me as a glory-hog though, I'm speaking about my own films. I wouldn't mind working on other films that are not my own, and would do my best not to take any control in that instance, ha!
Until then, I'm just working a slightly-above minimum wage job at a place that I don't like very much.

That's it for now, after this post I am going to post some more entries that I had already made on Livejournal, just to give this journal some substance. If you have read this far, thank you very much and I hope to think that you will read/see what I have to offer, as well as leave me a comment now and then.

-Scott M.F.
